Ambassador of Belgium to Romania and Moldova

The Faculty of Political Science of the University of Bucharest and the ACTUS Foundation welcome you to a Q&A session with His Excellency Mr. Thomas Baekelandt, Ambassador of Belgium to Romania and Moldova. 

Mr. Thomas Baekelandt is the Belgian Ambassador to Romania and Moldova since 2015. From 2011 to 2015, he was the Belgian Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq, based in Amman. Prior to this assignment, he held responsibilities in counter terrorism and defense policy, and was assigned to the Belgian Embassies in Jakarta, Rabat and Rome, to the Permanent Representations to the UN and NATO, and as Ambassador to Malta in Valletta.

He holds a Masters degree in Business administration, major international business, diplomatic and consular affairs from the Leuven University, Belgium.
